Frequently Asked Questions
Will my insurance cover physical therapy?
Yes, but you will need a referral letter from your doctor. What should I wear? You should wear comfortable clothes that are not restrictive to movement . We can provide you with a patient gown to expose appropriate parts, however, you may want to wear something that allows us to view that part without having to change (eg. if you are coming in for a knee problem you may want to wear shorts). How many sessions will I need? This will vary for each patient; It will depend on the nature of your injury and your rate of progress. What should I bring to the visit? You should walk with your referral letter, MRIs, x-rays, a list of medications that you are currently taking and anything else that you may deem pertinent. Should someone come with me? It is advisable for someone to come with you if your condition is severe. If that person has to assist you with the exercises, it would be wise for them to be at the P.T. session also so that they can be instructed in your home program. What type of follow-up is offered? At RehabWorks, we emphasize the importance of continuing your treatment with a home exercise program. We will design an at-home program for you and provide detailed instructions. If symptoms re-occur, contact us immediately, we are available to assist. |
